International consulting company Teks arranged a grandiose event for mechanical engineering in Uzbekistan.
Delegates from Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Germany and Azerbaijan arrived at the Uzbekistan’s bearing plant (Akhunbabaev city) to get acquainted with the production process, the pace of modernization, the development of the test center and to conduct negotiations.
Under the personal leadership of General Director Bakhtiyarzhon Aliyev, the audit was organized by the following companies: Schaeffler group (Germany), KAMAZ (Russia), Combine plant "Rostselmash" (Russia).
Negotiations were held with the Schaeffler group, the world's largest bearing manufacturer, and the possibilities for the manufacture of rings for a tapered group of bearings were identified.
An audit was conducted with the most advanced manufacturer of KAMAZ trucks for compliance with the requirements for OEM-suppliers and the IATF16949 standard. During the audit, we discussed the supply of a pilot batch of bearings and run tests with the conclusion of a long-term contract in 2022.
As part of the continuation of the validation work, an audit of the production facilities and the quality management system of the manufacturer's Uzbek bearing plant was carried out by the Rostselmash combine plant, grain harvesters and tractors. As a result, a decision will be made on the admission to the supply of bearings of the Uzbek brand GPZ-27 to assembly line and the firm trade network "Rostselmash".
In addition to continuing systematic work with the Schaeffler group, KAMAZ, Rostselmash, the Uzbek bearing plant were visited by the business mission of representatives of Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan under the organizational support of joint Russian-Uzbek enterprise DAB ZAVOD and consulting company Teks. LLC JV DAB ZAVOD was established by the decision of the management of the Uzbek Bearing Plant in 2019 in the Russian Federation with the aim of developing and strengthening foreign economic relations. Launching and supporting this new venture were did by consulting company Teks.
Representatives from Kazakhstan have submitted order for industrial bearings used by following consumers: ArcelorMittal Temirtau, Kazakhmys, ERG group. The parties discussed logistics issues and agreed to establish bilateral cooperation.
Issues of deeper interaction were discussed with a company from Baku (Azerbaijan), including to secure orders for the oil and gas sector like SOCAR, in main.
During the negotiations, the chairman of the largest trade network of auto components from Ukraine confirmed their readiness to sell GPZ-27 bearings. Representatives of JV DABZAVOD responsibled for the sales and marketing territory of the Russian Federation and the CIS, also reported a significant increase in sales of automotive bearings and expressed confidence that the general trend is characteristic, including for the Ukrainian market either. From 2022 GPZ-27 brand automotive bearings will be supplied in new individual packaging.
Summing up, the General Director of the Uzbek Bearing Plant Bakhtiyarjon Aliyev thanked the participants for the visit, the effective work and notes: ”Such meetings will make a significant contribution to the production bearings for OEM and the aftermarket starting in 2022.”
All delegates expressed gratitude in return to the management of the plant for the reception, support and accompaniment; and also expressed their readiness to conduct the same events on an ongoing basis.
Consulting company Teks will support and develop JV DABZAVOD and Uzbek bearing plant till 2025 under the contract. Accordingly there will be a lot of bright contacts, meetings and deals in future.
